The HBCU Community Development Scholarship is designed for students committed to careers in community development, public policy, social work, urban planning, or nonprofit management at any accredited HBCU. This scholarship recognizes the pivotal role HBCUs play as anchor institutions in their local communities and invests in students who plan to return value to historically underserved neighborhoods. Recipients are selected on the basis of their demonstrated community involvement, financial need, and a compelling statement of purpose.
