The Gates Scholarship, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is a highly selective, full scholarship for exceptional, Pell-eligible, minority, high school seniors who demonstrate extraordinary academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to community. It supplements other scholarships and grants a scholar receives to cover the full cost of attendance at a four-year accredited U.S. college or university. Scholars receive ongoing support through a community, mentoring, and leadership development program throughout their undergraduate career.
